Dokapon Kingdom: Connect Review (Skitz)

Easily One Of The Best In The Genre
It's like Mario Party mixed with Monopoly mixed with Final Fantasy mixed with crack c**aine. I've played Dokapon for years across various platforms and this is the best version of the game. Online works great, and Remote Play is a GODSEND. I frequently hold sessions with different groups of friends each with different campaigns. I'm the only one that owns the game and we play smoothly without issues at 1080p streaming in a 3rd world country so, if you have issues it's probably network related somewhere between your ISP and home network.
Remote Play alone is the real reason this version is the best. It's easy as hell to configure though there is no guide provided on how-to, so if you're not really a technical person it can seem like a headache, but once you grasp it, you'll be setting it up in like....seconds. There are short form versions of the board but we always play on the full board, which can run you upwards of 40hrs to complete a single game. Saving is easy and you just pick back up where you left off the next time you return. The music, cast, humor, and battle systems are all satisfying. CPU players are hilarious to watch as sometimes they act dumb as rocks for 20hrs then suddenly you realize they've been playing 12D-Chess. They stomp and curse when they don't get their way, and verbally state who they're gonna get revenge on lmao.
The balancing in this game is beyond fair. Even if you're losing hard, there are several ways for you to not just comeback, but even-out the entire playing field at the cost of what...just a soul or two? So nothing really all that important lol. Oh and you need friends. I know with the help of technology we can now play board games alone, but really, they're not meant to be lol. I don't recommend playing this alone with a bunch of CPUs, I can't even fathom it. I've done it with one other person and two CPUs and it was really good. If you can get at least 2 other real players and 1 CPU, you're in the game.
