Dokapon Kingdom: Connect Review (Lord_Mikoda)
It's the classic Dokapon Kingdom.
Pretty much just a higher def version of the PS2 version of the game, with some minor tweaks here and there to clean up some bugs and stuff. Honestly if you liked the original, this is a good buy!
Price - It's on sale right now so it's not horrible. I would say 29.99 would be the ideal price, given the game is basically a high def port.
Multiplayer - Online play requires each player to own the game obviously. Local/Couch play works perfect, and remote couch play is also working fine. If you are unable to assign multiple players, make sure all players are using a controller, and launch through BPM. You can also just use something like parsec to pull players in as well, either way it works great.
Graphics - I'd call them "classic" Nothing has been changed, just updated to look good on modern monitors. Compared to the Switch version the quality is a bit higher on PC as well so it looks great on a 4k monitor/TV
Audio - Take off your headset when you launch. Audio control options are garbage like most games, and the lowest setting is still loud on a good headset. Audio quality is literally the same as the old versions, same catchy tunes and quips.
Controls - Use a controller. KB/M controls suck and can't be rebound. Honestly using a PS2 style controller feels more natural than an XBOX controller.
To the complaints - Yes, its a port. you were aware of that already. Yes it's high price, but at least it's not 7 bucks like most games.
Seriously, if you like this type of game, this is THE game.
