Do Not Feed the Monkeys Review (yaunz)

One of my favorites, I download and replay it pretty much yearly. IDK how I only recorded 10 hours in the game so far, I feel like I play it for hours on end every time.
Art is great, it feels a little overwhelming game-play wise at first but once you get into it, you're INTO it. The cameras you'll get are randomized which means each play-through will be a bit different, but instead of being boring once you get multiple repeat cameras throughout multiple plays, it just means you become more knowledgeable on how to deal with it and you can therefore make it easier to get different endings or different achievements.
It is a management game, where you have to balance your hunger, exhaustion, money, and your time, so if you don't like that kind of pressure you probably won't like dealing with this game. Most play-throughs will see the management stabilize out towards the end anyways, but at the beginning it can definitely cause some stress.
A con for me personally is that if you make a mistake, you have to restart the game. There is only one save slot, so you can only do one run at a time, and the game saves at the start of each new day (so it doesn't save at midnight in the game, because there are events in some cages that occur past midnight).
However, the staggering amount of pixel art done for this game and animations, the amount of unique cages you can interact with (and even the amount of cages you can't interact with), the amount of variation in endings and how some cages can affect others, the balance between your daily necessities and the time events occur in the cages, and the unique gameplay taking place online where you can write down information in your notebook and go online to search keywords together to find more information to progress is all insane and shows just how much work was put into this game.
And for only $12USD when it isn't on sale? You'd be hard pressed to find another game of this caliber for that price. Totally worth it and still one of my faves. Just saw that a sequel was announced and I will absolutely be picking it up when it releases.
