Dishonored: The Knife of Dunwall Review (Kevin_and_Other_Drugs)
Daud has more character development in 3 missions than most of the characters have in modern Netflix seasons.
The Story:
This DLC is part 1 of 2 where you play as the assassin Daud, the man responsible for driving a sword through the empress. You're being haunted by a name. Delilah. And you need to found out who they are.
The Gameplay:
The gameplay is similar to the base game, apart for some minor changes. For example, some powers are merged into one power. (Like blink and bend time.)
The levels are entirely new for the most part.
Some locations you visit are built from scratch which is exciting to explore and feel tonally darker than the base game.
Some pros:
-More dishonored but as the badass Daud.
- Improved abilities and mobility.
- New locations and enemies.
- Interesting, darker story that adds to the base game significantly.
Some cons:
- Perhaps a bit short, but it is only DLC so it's excusable. A couple hours worth.
Conclusion:
Daud is easily one of my favourite Dishonored characters after this. He's sarcastic, blunt, dry and thought provoking. It's worth going through the Dishonored universe with him as and for it's short length, it is only part 1 of 2 with a lot of world building contained within.
10/10, will whack an Empress for cash again :D
