Dinosaur Fossil Hunter Review (Megatron)

For all of my life, I've had an interest in the natural world, especially for extinct species. I find great interest in the science of Paleontology, from things like fossil excavation to the taxonomy of extinct species, so when I first saw the trailers for Dinosaur Fossil Hunter, I knew I'd be in for a treat.
I bought the game in 2022 when it first came out (It actually came out on my birthday that year) and I had a lot of fun with it. Even though the gameplay can be repetitive at times, It didn't matter to me. I was just excited to excavate all of these skeletons of these extinct species I've known of from a young age and display them in my own museum. Then another big update came out later on, adding even more species and a whole new map to excavate on, Grizzlies East Mountains. Then we got the Raptor DLC, Designer DLC, and the Anniversary update, which added some more content. Things were looking brighter than ever, but then that's when the fall came.
After the Anniversary update, we didn't get any more content, or any news on upcoming content. The devs had left us in the dark. Were they working on something to keep from us as a surprise? Did they just forget to update us? Had they abandoned the game completely? We weren't sure, and we still aren't sure, because nearly a year later, we still haven't gotten any news or answers from the developers, which is quite disappointing, because a lot of people who play the game hope for more content. I've seen it all over, across Steam and Discord. What had confused a lot of us even more is why 2 species, one of which has been shown in promotional material since it was first announced 5 years ago, haven't been added to the game, with these species being Allosaurus and Brachiosaurus. The developers have assets for these species to be easily added to the game, so why haven't they added them in? It's something that's baffled me and many others for a while, and we're still looking for answers, but we aren't able to because the devs just keep leaving us in the dark. There's so much more content that could be added to the game too, like Cenozoic and Paleozoic species. I've been making ideas for possible new content in the game's official discord server to hopefully pique interest, and I'll still continue doing so if the game isn't being abandoned.
So, to end this off, what do I have to say? Well, Pyramid Games and PlayWay S.A., please continue Dinosaur Fossil Hunter, and please don't abandon this game. There's so much potential for it in the future, potential that could allow it to become one of, if not the greatest Paleontology simulator ever made. Please give us answers soon if you can. Please don't leave us in the dark any longer. Consider this review as cry for the truth from this game's small, but passionate community. We want more of Dinosaur Fossil Hunter! #ContinueDinosaurFossilHunter
