Dicey Dungeons Review (Grizz)
This one starts out kind of fun but the nature of rolling the dice doesnt really scratch the itch a diceroller is looking for. Furthermore the game starts off kind of "Fine" but quickly escalates into varying degrees of being screwed by RNG. Now I understand rolling dice at its core is RNG but adding additional layers of "your moves might not go off or I might eat a die or the enemy might get 2 turns" is just antifun.
I think of other games with pretty heavy RNG that you still feel like a very active participant with some sense of control, even my worst runs in other games where I feel like Im climbing out of the pits of hell. This game at many many times feels completely deterministic such that big hits and big wins feel hollow, and big losses feel expected and therefore meaningless. I think for cheap you cant really go wrong, and there is content here, but the mechanics aint for me.
