Devil May Cry 5 Review (Chibi Sparda)
Hey! To whoever reading this, thank you so much! It's not often that I pour this many hours (2,889) into a game, so you know Devil May Cry 5 is truly special! This game, in my opinion, is not only the best Devil May Cry game, but also the greatest character action and hack n' slash game of all time! There isn't a single game that offers nearly as much combat depth as DMC5. There are many ways to extend combos, whether you're airborne, animation/jump canceling to chain different moves together in rapid succession, stance/style switching while juggling multiple weapons, etc.
You truly feel like you have all the freedom to play how you want! The player expression rocks. DMC5 feels like an amazing 3D fighting game actually. The move sets for every character are so huge and expansive, and with the inclusion of mods (I recommend downloading them from Nexus Mods), you'll never get bored and will forever be addicted, captivated, impacted and entertained! Combat for DMC has always been one of its strongest suits, and it's definitely the best it's ever been in 5. The gorgeous RE graphics engine also highlights just how extremely beautiful this game is! Whether you're engaged in the ultra buttery smooth combat or enjoying the awesome cutscenes/story, you can't help but be completely blown away at the level of detail that resides within DMC5.
Capcom truly poured their heart into this love letter of a title, and after waiting what felt like forever (11 years since DMC4!), the wait is truly worth it when you pop this bad boy in. Oh, and be prepared to discover ultimate motivation when you get your hands on Vergil! Vergil is a newly playable character with an incredibly exciting, haunting, and masterful theme to boot (Bury the Light). It's my new favorite song actually. That's another amazing part about this game; the music!
It's so good, that I doubt you'll be using custom soundtracks much. But anyway, that's my DMC5 review! I hope you enjoyed the read just as much as I enjoyed writing it! If you haven't played it yet, don't wait any longer! Bless the entire team at Capcom, along with Hideaki Itsuno-san, for this incredible masterpiece. DMC IS BACK!! We're all eagerly awaiting DMC6 now!!
