Devil May Cry 4 Review (Mango Magoo)
If you have Windows 8 and above avoid getting the SE version. It wouldn't even start for me. Come to find out that Windows 10 and DX10 is absolutely broken. So I had to shell out an extra $20 actually play this game. As for the game itself:
I really enjoyed my time with it. That is until I got to about over the halfway point and had to backtrack through the same exact levels I just went through as Nero. Huge bummer there. Dante controlled fine and was fun to play but he was definitely not designed for the enemies you had to fight. I could tell Buster was a massive mechanic the devs were relying on for defeating some of these enemies. The end levels were just a practice in patience and such a chore to play through. Especially when you had to defeat the same bosses you fought earlier for a third time. Fun game design there. I still consider it one of the better controlling DMC games and enjoyed my time with it regardless. Still sucks you have to buy the non SE version just to play the game because the devs couldn't be bothered to update the game to fix the issues that's plagued it since release. I'd say buy this version on sale but it never goes on sale.
