Destroy All Humans! 2: Reprobed Review (Noir)

As a big Destroy all Humans fan, I cannot recommend this remake! And here's why:
I loved the original game to the bone, to the point which I completed it from 0 to 100% multiple times.
You're probably wondering "if this guy loved the original, why does he not recommend this remake? it's a near-identical clone after all, right?"
Wrong! If you quickly glance at it, yes, it's the same game with updated graphics. Now, when playing the game to completion, it's a whole another story.
Missions were removed, such as the odd job "Take it Like a Man" (I'm not going to talk about that mission for obvious reasons, google it).
Most afro hippies voice lines were removed.
A lot of free roam events also didn't make it to the remake.
Blisk mutants and blisk spores suffered a pretty questionable redesign, I just hate them. The spores now look like some kind of cartoon-faced coronavirus. The mutants lost their human remanescent traits and are now all covered in blisters. They also have a stupid long tongue, something straight outta Marvel's Venom.
The game is now looking good as ever, even more than the previous remake! But, the game is riddled with bugs and glitches, also a terrible optimization.
It goes from petty bugs like something that you can fix by quitting to the menu and returning, to game-breaking bugs and weird graphical glitches! After some time playing you will start to notice flickering textures, odd texture artifacts and some crazy colored texture overlays, probably result of the bad programming on the Free Love mechanic.
I lost count of how many times I had to return to checkpoint because of some bug on the mission or targets not spawning, it's absurd! I also did not receive the blue furotech cells from the last mission I completed before writing this review, even though the game said I received on the results screen.
Now regarding the optimzation, it's pretty trash, you've probably read a lot of complaints by now. I rock a RTX 3070 OC, with a R7 5800X and 32GB RAM, I know it's not a spaceship of a computer, but it's pretty decent, so the game wasn't supposed to dip from 60-90fps on maximum settings to 5-10fps on certain situations, like when multiple blisk warriors start blasting their energy beam at you.
Conclusion: If you value your money, do not buy this remake! I just can't get over how good Black Forest Games did with the first remake, and now they deliver us this ugly mess, I'm offended by it! It's Resident Evil 3 remake all over again. If you're really into playing Destroy all Humans 2, go play the original one. This remake deserved way more love and time in the oven.
