Desta: The Memories Between Review (xnaroto775)
this game takes a nice take on the story roguelike genre. it offers nice variety of ways to defeat enemies and encourage trying combos with items,special abilities and two supporting characters by your side. desta is the kind of game that you can unwind with and also challenge yourself without it insulting you or feeling like the game has an unfair advantage against you. there are some mechanics the game doesn't teach you and you have to learn them by your own but once you find them out it feels like you gained a new ability to you arsenal because you paid attention to what is happening. the story is a bit simplistic but it does well for being a roguelike game. dont expect hades level of visual novel stuff but it is certainly nice to hear what the characters have to say about their past with desta(the protagonist) and how that past effects desta in their way of getting to the end of the dream(run). the gameplay takes front and center here and it is a very exciting turn based battle system that always makes you think and plan out your turn(s) so it is never stale even in the early areas of the run.now lets talk about the visuals and music which compliment the game so well. the visuals are all so vibrant and full of life both in the visual novel dialogue and in combat. it is especially fun to see enemies dancing around while you play ut your turn or just enjoying the beat of the music while crushing your enemies. i have to say that you should play this game if you have the chance. it is such a hidden gem to the point where i felt the need to write this review because there arent even 25 reviews of the game at the moment.you wont regret this purchase and if you do regret it than DM me and we can debate it. also the game heavily supports the lgbtq community so you can be happy about that as well. i hope i may have helped you make your choice with this review and thanks for reading
