It is really awesome to see this old original Desperados have horse to "mount"!! I mean mounts. They are not just decorative thing.
20 years later Mimimi games were whining "oo we wanted to implement horses but rigging was haard :( "
Mimimi, you are just whining lazy ass Devs. Yes Desperados 3 is great, but without a horse, it is not a desperados game. Spellbound did this in 2001 for gods sake !!
Horses in Desperados are both a great gameplay element and also great ambient/athmospheric element. It allows you both fast travel, a great fast escape route (you can jump second floors of saloons or roof of some houses to top of a horse and escape) And you can cut saddle of horses to prevent enemy to deploy mounted patrols or mounted search.
And it is Wild West. Guess what are the famous 2 things in the Wild West ? Guns n Horses
