Desperados III Review (Silly sam)
Just finished act one, middle of act two, have only played in Desperados (Hardest difficulty)
Amazing game. Really Amazing. I would just warn about the difficulty scaling. Desperados is not hard. It does not feel hard (Granted, its the only mode I have ever played on)
The only thing about it thats annoying is all the micro thats required. In all other difficulties you are able to pause the game to plan for a number of moves. But in the hardest you cant... So you are left, after the absolute mass murder you just commited, to manage many characters at once to clean up before the patroll to get back... And its literally just a micro challenge.
I have played the game stelthily in all missions exept one: The final room in the first chapter. There, I was able to murder the... 10? 13? company people with just 2 characters. Which was extremely fun... Exept that after I handled the first 5 people (2 pistols, and shotgun shot) I had to deal with a huge number of other people... in real time... I had to sincronize kills if I wanted it to work... And it was so difficult... I got it my first try, but im sure I could have done it first or second If it didnt have to frantically use all key shortcuts to do actions and movement lol.
To be honest, im not sure what stops players in lower difficulties to just shoot their way trough the level. It is absolutly possible with how janky the AI is.
Anyway, adding more company men to watch more angles and watch each other, along with the supposed intant reflexes and whatever would have made for a much better expirience for highwe difficulty players.
The current state is just... I mean, its not hard, and 99% of the time, the micro is no issue on the first try....... But still lol. Lets us pause for those epic room wiping combos
