Demon Hunter: Chronicles from Beyond Review (Uku)
I suppose this is bit older ArtifexMundi. It does show up in the graphics here and there but it's not the most horrible looking.
Plot is quite ok. Voice acting is bit of eh. There aren't huge character moments or grand suspence or breakthroughs. It was fun to play through though. Am quite happy for skip option on some of the puzzles because no way in hell my capasity works around math, it's all reserved to literature. Also take this from someone who speaks two languages and who has studied three other languages and am not native with English. Some of the items and words were new and some items culturally bit different when thinking about what kind of a item they might be looking in the hidden object games.
So, yes, there are puzzles to solve and hidden objects. And you can't really go wrong with neither. Apparently you can play them after you complete the game as separated from the story ascpect.
One thing about the gameplay however that I had missed had been an option to go back to the beginning to look for the missing items that you need to collect. Once you enter into the house. You can't go back to wander around that check if there are anything you missed.
Though scientist guy who turns into smoke isn't suspicious at all.... It is. So ending wasn't much suprise. Another thing for the ending is that well I suppose ancient demon ready to materialize has all the time in the world to wait for you to solve out some puzzles to get items you'll need.
Overall not the best of Artifex Mundi but not the worst either.
