I love the positive reviews! I really do!
"Oh, it's not Xcom so it's ok that it's a terribly half assed Pile of dookie that punishes you for playing it" Stop please you've already cleaned out the international stores of copium there are no more!
Firstly, the game punishes you for buying it! Not in the way GOOD tactics games do, by punishing bad mistakes and rewarding lucky/clever ones, but by always shitting on your parade for no apparent reason.
For example, consistently spawning enemies every turn (whether you made noise or not - Sure, fine zombie hordes and all that right?
WRONG, there is no "AI" It's just "A" a system that knows where your characters are and hones in even with no way to see/smell/hear them because of distance, entire buildings in the way and silence!
Insult to injury - Xcom meme of hit % is very real in this, BUT the game likes to spawn the healthiest annoyances it can rotating between tanks and gassers and even more annoyingly runners that move as fast as your characters meaning they don't have time to loot...
BUT - you HAVE to loot since Most (if not all) your items will be destroyed between levels. I streamed the game and lost ALL but 3 weapons... 2 guns and a bat, then after ragequitting the stupid mission (pharmacy run) it was in general, i went back and tried again off stream SOMEHOW got through the BS mission (despite 12+ enemies all sprinting like runners), and then the next mission NOBODY had a weapon, literally EVERYTHING usable as a weapon was destroyed between levels meaning you HAVE to loot... but couldn't because of all the enemies surrounding stuff.
This should never have been made with this level of hatred for people willing to give you money, and even though i am past the 2 hour threshold, there's no way i'm not still attempting a refund i am utterly ashamed of myself for thinking "this game may be good" from the demo I really am.
