Dead by Daylight: Tools of Torment Chapter Review (Liquid_Caffeine)

I really wish that there was a "mixed" option, rather than a yes/no recommendation.
When playing as survivor with the old Skull Merchant: I didn't even want to play any more after facing this killer. Gens got locked down, and we were held hostage until the server timer ran out and shut down, resulting as a loss.
Against the NEW Skull Merchant, I feel that it's much healthier. There are still some things that I feel need work (if you get tagged two times approaching a trap, for example - and then disarm/deactivate the turret) - the stacks don't go away. Those scans are ON YOU until you either go down, or take a third scan / hit. | I feel that many agree that deactivating a trap should clear one - or multiple - of these 'ticks/states'. Overall, the match ended with a 2K for the killer, and we engaged in some pretty healthy chases - albeit a lot of W holding.
Today, I tried playing AS the new SM, and I can already tell that people have learned how she works. A LOT more stealth gamers crouching around (which doesn't trigger the traps), and two were deactivated within about 20 seconds of placing. | Overall, though - I really enjoyed the chases, shutting loops with scans, and so forth. One match was a 2K, the second a 4K, and the third a 3K (but one quit within 30 seconds of the match beginning)... Although I'm not a great killer by any means... In the CURRENT state (as of the last month or so), I feel this killer is way healthier now that every match isn't a chess tournament.
Would definitely recommend when on a steep sale; if anything, for the survivors!
