Dead by Daylight: Tomb Raider Chapter Review (KrakenCrow13y)
This review is NOT for the character or her perks. Those are just fine. This review is due to the fact that even free characters have several free alternate outfits. I bought the “Tomb Raider Chapter,” I personally think I should have at least one or two alternate skins I don’t have to spend real money on-or grind for AND spend real money on. I love Lara Croft, but am much more a fan of all of her more classic looks (or the utterly bizarre but cool grind + pay skins in this game) over her reboot look.
That being said, I’m not going to further reward a company that locks 100% of Lara’s alternate cosmetics behind a LITERAL paywall (or pay + grind wall) when I’ve already paid full price for her chapter.
Just know if you buy this “Chapter” and want to change Lara’s look? You’ll have to give the devs even MORE money. Or money + grind (also, those cool money + grind outfits are only available for a limited time-so added FOMO included).
Pure. Greed. Should be changed. Would have waited for a sale (and an even deeper sale on the base game) had I known.
ETA: Actually, would’ve never touched this game or this DLC in the first place if I had known how toxic this community was and how predatory and grind-heavy the monetization was in this PTP game. Tomb Raider fans (classic or reboot era) new to DBD beware-these are not your people, you will find only miserable people here-and they will make you miserable too. Take a look at the Steam forums and the negative reviews of the main game if you don’t believe me. Everyone hates everyone else. Save your money for something that isn’t this if you value your time, money, and mental health.
