Dead by Daylight: The Halloween Chapter Review (Talirium)
This is one of the best packs Dead By Daylight has to offer, being one of the cheaper ones, and containing a bunch of cool stuff.
The main reason I, and I think anyone, gets the DLC, is for the new killers, and Myers does not disappoint. His gameplay revolves around hiding just out of view of the survivors (or right in their view if they've never faced him before), and staring at them to slowly level up his ability. Through leveling up, he gives up his early game stealth for speed and power, maxing out at level 3 and exposing every survivor on the map, leaving them open to be 1-shot-downed. His perks all revolve around the obsession, giving you various buffs in return for tormenting them, leading to a much more personal match than you may be used to with other killers. He's overall a blast to play, and encourages learning the map to find nooks and crannies everywhere to stay just out of reach.
The survivor this time around, is Laurie. Sporting some pretty solid perks herself, she is a no-brainer pick up for building your perfect toxic iridescent I dream survivor. If you've ever been killer, you already know the perk I'm talking about; Decisive Strike. Essentially a 3rd hook opportunity, this perk allows you to stab the killer after being picked up once per match, as if you maxed out the wiggle meter. This perk has provided so many moments of undeserved victory, it's unreal. Her other 2 perks, while not reaching anywhere close to the previous one, are still nothing to scoff at. She can see the killers aura when she's the obsession, and can cancel the killers aura reading abilities as the survivors' numbers dwindle. She is built to be a lone survivor, perfect for solo-queueuing.
The map is also pretty cool, Haddonfield is a long narrow street, the most claustrophobic outdoor map. This map perfectly balances the tight indoor spaces of the houses and backyards, with the general openness the outdoor maps tend to provide. With a great overall aesthetic, and interesting layout, I'm never disappointed to spawn here, killer or survivor. If you're unsure of which DLC to pick up next, I think this one is a very strong contender.
