Dead by Daylight: Roots of Dread Review (Jackolantern)
When the Dredge was released I was overjoyed bc I not only got to play as an eldritch horror but it matched my playstyle perfectly! But that's beside the point because every single time I play as this dude the survivors will lock lockers MID CHASE. LIKE. Survivors I love you but for the love of my sanity STOP doing that you are only slowing yourself down and wasting locks because I CAN BREAK THE LOCKS FROM THE OUTSIDE. And the teleporting to lockers isn't an instant thing it takes a good five seconds to only activate the power, but to locate the locker, hit the button to teleport, and then actually MOVE TO IT. By the time I've done all that the survivor will be long gone so /why/ would I do that?? And the amount of memorization I'd need to do to know immediately where every single locker is on every single map would kill my poor ADHD brain like- It is painful at this point. God I'm so glad I gave my Dredge Iron Grip because it gives me the time to pick survivors up, walk over to a locker and BREAK THE LOCK and shake my head at them in the DESPERATE attempt to get them to STOP SABOTAGING THEMSELF!!! AND I have an addon that lets me know what locker is locked and if one is near an uncompleted gen you have GIVEN YOURSELF AWAY PLEASE- Like idc if I'm supposed to be quiet about that little advantage it is PAINFUL do you understand because no I know I'm a killer main I should be quiet about the mistakes survivors make that give me an advantage but YOU try spending thirty minutes in a round where the survivors make every mistake possible to the point you're crying from how sad it is because at that point I just want to open the goddamn exit and tell them to get the fuck out I am SHAKING THE CAGE BARS DO YOU HEAR ME SURVIVORS PLEASE I'M BEGGING YOU STOP GIVING YOURSELF AWAY I AM IN TEARS
