Dead by Daylight: Nicolas Cage Review (IndigoInterjer)
Ever since "Nicolas Cage in Dead By Daylight" was leaked, people have been looking forward to it. When his Perks were announced, the hype doubled. And after a couple of days of release, I can confidently say that this Chapter is exactly what Dead By Daylight needed.
It's no secret that DBD has a very unpleasant playerbase. There's a hundred reasons for this, but one of the biggest is the competitiveness. It's a do-or-die game; a game where everyone has high expectations of their teammates, even of their opponents. If you don't play like an elite, you get BMed by your opponent, even by your own team if you play Survivor.
Into this environment came Nicolas Cage. His three Perks aren't just high-risk/high-reward; they're incredibly high risk for good reward. They're impractical. They have randomness. But, above all, they're funny. Screaming when you look at the Killer; running with high knees like a cartoon character; putting yourself into the Dying State. He has voicelines that break the tension. He adds the enjoyment back to Dead By Daylight, in a time when it had been swamped by competition.
Make no mistake: when you're playing with Nic Cage's perks, you probably won't win matches. But you might just have a little more fun with it. For veteran players who dislike the rut Dead By Daylight has fallen into, I cannot recommend this highly enough. Do yourself a favour and take the Cage pill.
