Dead by Daylight: Nicolas Cage Review (Fruits)
Buyer Beware! Do not pay for things which you did not already want! Consider your options!
In order to purchase the character which I wish to buy, this DLC also forces me to buy a cosmetic item for real money which is already available for ingame currency. Thus i am refunding this.
At the time of writing, the regular price of this DLC is 9.99€ and the 50% discounted price is 4.99€. So you are paying double the amount of what a single-character DLC usually costs.
Typically the highest discount you can get on DBD DLC's on steam is 50%. There was only ever one time where a DBD DLC reached 60%, and that was shortly before it stopped being sold entirely.
So if anyone wants to purchase this DLC i suggest considering using ingame currency (Auric Cells) instead.
The standard ingame store price for a liscensed character (including Nicolas Cage) is 500 AC but regularly gets discounted to 350 AC.
500 AC is equivalent to 5€ which is only 0.01€ more than this DLC costs at it's cheapest.
350 AC is equivalent to 3.50€ which is only 0.01€ more than a 30% discounted single-character DLC usually costs.
Since i have also been waiting for the Chucky DLC (4.99€) to receive a discount, which it never got even after 19 months since its release, i have decided to do the following:
- Refund this DLC.
- Buy 1100 AC for 10€.
- Buy Nicolas Cage and Chucky for 350 AC each, in the ingame store.
- I am then left with 400 AC which is enough to buy a third single-character DLC.
The end result of this is that i will still be getting everything i wanted, for basically the same price that i would have paid initially (only 0.02€ more). But the next single character i buy afterwards will be free. Thus saving 2.47€ at worst and 4.97€ at best, depending on the price of that third character.
Note: I am only buying ingame currency since i know for a fact that i would have spent more in real money for the things that i want to buy anyway. Usually buying things using AC is more expensive. Again, do not pay for things which you did not already want.
