If you want to try out this killer without dropping money or shards for them, here's what you can do;
1. Play Hag
2. Equip Spirit Fury/Enduring
3. Just stand still for like a full second whenever you teleport before doing anything
The only part that is inaccurate to Singularity is that the Hag traps still require survivors to use knowledge and awareness. Disabling biopods with EMPs does not.
If you see a survivor with an EMP in their hands you have just become an m1 killer for as long as you continue to chase them. This is made glaringly obvious when attempting the Adept achievement. Unlike killers like clown, sadako, or hillbilly, add ons don't even make Singularity passable, and no amount of strategy or map knowledge will aid you when your power borders from almost useless to literally non-existent. Even without the survivors interfering the power is frustrating and inconsistent. Biopods will shimmer green but not get placed, some biopods can't be popped at times, you can't shoot to the second floor wall of a building from the first floor, almost everything to do with the biopods and teleportation makes you feel so, so, slow, and in a new meta of haste perks and extra chunky toolboxes, being slow means being in a no-win state in the first 4-5 minutes. Due to this instead of being a quirky chase killer like it seemed he was meant to be, you're encouraged to just... camp and take any kill or points you can get before moving on.
Perks like Corrupt Intervention help set-up, but only barely, as unlike with other set up killers you have to wrestle with the shoddy detection and what BHVR decides is or isn't an appropriate surface. There are no distinct synergies for Singularity that will elevate his skill ceiling or give him any more of a fighting chance than a Myers or Sadako. All that there is going to be are a few gimmick builds that become predictable the moment a youtuber makes a video about them.
Singularity -might- be good eventually. But please, PLEASE do not buy this dlc yet. It is a waste of your money, time, and patience.
