Dead by Daylight: End Transmission Review (Mecha Sandvich)
Easily one of the best chapters in recent memory.
Gabriel Soma is a interesting survivor, being a clone from the far future, made for a specific space mission. His 3 perks include in my opinion the strongest Survivor perk in the game by far (to the point that I do believe it is OP and needs a nerf). There is a reason this perk, Made for This, is ran in basically any game. It's insanely good. I don't know whether to count this as a positive or a negative, as it is OP, but it does make the DLC more worthwhile in a way.
His other 2 perks are kind of forgettable however.
The killer from this chapter, the Singularity, is an AI Being created for the same mission as Gabriel. He gained sentience and went rogue, and went on a rampage, killing all natural life in sight, along with the other AIs made along with him, so they couldn't stop him. His mechanics are very interesting and I enjoy him. He can shoot biopods which at like cameras than can shoot slip streams onto the survivors, which he can then teleport to either from the camera or by shooting the slip streamed survivors. These slip streams can also spread to other survivors. Upon teleporting, he is in Overclock mode and can break pallets instantly, as well as vault anything quick, though these end the mode. To counter him the Survivors can use EMPs to disable the biopods and slipstreams. This leads into my first problem with Singularity, the EMPs are a bit too powerful, and if the survivors know what they are doing they can limit you to a straight M1 killer. Also he is pretty map dependent, if you get a map like Leary's your screwed.
Singularity's perks are also quite good, arguably better than Gabriel's in terms of consistency as he has more than one viable perk, specifically Forced Hesitation and Machine Learning are pretty good. Genetic Limits is fine but nothing special.
The map it launched with is free, so you can play it with or without the dlc, though it is easily one of the most interesting maps in the game.
Overall I definitely recommend this chapter, I think lore wise the characters are among the best, and perk wise it's a good investment. Singularity is fun but can be frustrating on certain maps or against survivors who know how to use EMPs to their full potential.
