Dead by Daylight: Chucky Chapter Review (Paentimexi)
A lot of fanfare around the character and the attention that went into the gameplay, but overall this chapter escapes the trappings of what comes before.
Is Chucky, The Good Guy, a top shelf killer? Eh.
Is he fun to play as? Yup.
Are his perks meta defining? No.
Are his perks fun? Yup.
Does Chucky, himself, change how you play the game? YES.
Frankly, being able to peek corners and surprise survivors by being too small for them to see at a distance makes a lot of the games very interesting. His ability to jumpscare survivors and the dash combines the entertainment value of Ghostface and Wesker all into one.
Most games you pay $20 for some weird skins that you'll forget about in a few months.
$5 so that you can corner peek as a killer in dead by daylight? $5 so that you can slide under a pallet like a gremlin? Count me in.
