Dead by Daylight: Alien Chapter Pack Review (JabbaJay)
I dove into the Alien DLC with a mix of excitement and trepidation. I'd heard whispers of mixed reviews, but as a die-hard Alien fan, I couldn't resist the urge to wreak havoc.
The learning curve for the Xenomorph is steeper than a spaceship's descent onto LV-426, but once you get the hang of it, the thrill is out of this world. Playing as the Alien not only adds a fresh layer of spice to the base game but is also a blast.
In a sea of human killers, we needed a monstrous change, and the Alien delivers just that. It's a refreshing departure from the usual slashers and psychos; after all, variety is the spice of afterlife.
As a newcomer, Ripley's perks were a game-changer for my playstyle. The only gripe? More clothing options, please! Two choices and a third behind a paywall feel a bit stingy. Hey, even Xenomorphs deserve a fashion show between hunts. I also couldn't shake the feeling that her in-game portrayal missed the mark on capturing the essence of the real-life Ripley.
While I'm yet to step foot in the Alien-themed level, the online glimpses suggest it's a visual treat and very loyal to the franchise.
In the grand scheme of Dead by Daylight DLCs, the Alien expansion is a stellar addition. Sure, there are a few quirks, like the limited wardrobe choices, but the thrill of being the Xenomorph and hunting unsuspecting survivors is worth every penny, especially when snagged during a sale.
