Dead by Daylight: A Binding of Kin Chapter Review (Emilia)
The killer feels horrible to play and is straight up the most infuriating thing in the entire game due to how punishing it is *when played correctly*.
- Hooking a survivor is nearly impossible on large maps against coordinated teams since by the time Charlotte gets to the downed survivor they've been healed or got up with Unbreakable
- Stupid map collision that makes Victor slide on random things like trees
- Survivors can block you from using him for 30 seconds which turns you into basically Trapper with no traps, so the only option against a survivor that does that is using Victor only while they're already injured, which means you have no power against a healthy survivor
- Can't switch at random times for seemingly no reason; you cannot switch to Victor near a hooked survivor but you can place him by the hook and then hook the survivor lmao
- Victor can get crushed for a very long time after (missing or not) a pounce
- Victor can't be consistently seen by Charlotte when grabbing a survivor, and killer instinct triggering on every survivor around him makes it hard to find the grabbed survivor, so you either give up chasing that survivor to basic attack a healthy survivor or you tunnel the grabbed survivor with no power
- extremely long cooldowns for pretty much every action makes them really clunky to play
- Dead Hard completely shuts them down since survivors can tank the hit and immediately crush Victor; Boon: Circle of Healing, Unbreakable and Boon: Exponential are a guaranteed loss against a half decent team.
- Best addon is common (Toy Sword), while the rest is mostly irrelevant
Overall the killer is pretty strong but is extremely unforgiving and a single mistake or random negative occurrence happening pretty much always costs the entire match. The only fun part of the killer is bodyblocking in indoor maps or certain structures. The only semiviable playstyle is injuring different survivors without hooking anyone, then slugging the first downed survivor and hoping to snowball the game by downing the rest.
The perks are very mediocre so the killer isn't even worth prestiging.
