Days Gone: Broken Road Review (Kraven2000)

6 years after release, this cheap cash grab dropped.
//Permadeath mode does NOT work for a game with so many game-breaking bugs.
Example: In one part of the story, a horde has to spawn while you're stuck in a cave.
I have played through the whole story 3 times and each time this bug has appeared in my game.
Only restarting the game solves this problem, the best part is that this mission doesn't start until 15-20 hours into the game.
//New Horde mode is cheap as hell.
New characters to unlock? Cool, why can't I use them in the main story or at least in the challenge hub where I can use existing skins.
Also, the extra characters were previously tied to these challenge levels. Now we have them in a part of the open world where they do things like start a generator, and apparently the developers thought it was okay to give them the same voice from Deacon.
How cheap do you guys want to be? From a Nero soldier fighting for his life to just plain deacon dialog.
//Why add these strange multipliers?
There is no global scoreboard and after you complete all the maps, they reset and you get a prestige.
So why should I collect extra points?
A good concept would have been to say that after each prestige you need more points to reach the next map, so you are forced to use the negative effects for extra points.
//A new useless weapon
So yes, we now have a flamethrower.
You can't reload it, it takes up the heavy slot and the damage is really really bad.
//The whole horde stick.
Horde waves get harder and harder until they're infinite, and that's fine if it weren't for those stupid loot boxes and their stupid locations.
I find a box on a low horde level, means at a point where if more freaks came it would mean my certain death, but I don't have the points to open it.... That means this crate is gone.
But why did I go to this crate? Well, crates are marked on the map, but the price isn't and the price is set random all the time.
Also, more than once I've gotten better loot from a 108k crate than the 500k+ crate, as if there isn't even a little bit of progress.
Rating:
All in all this is just a cash grab, something to say: "you remember days gone? buy our stuff now"
And saying "i don't care about the dlc i just want to support bend studios" makes everything even worse.
Imagine them nopw thinking: "we produced shit and the peopl bought it"
With this mindset Days gone 2 will look more like a EA trash game than an actually cool game.
0/10 the game deserves more than that.
