Days Gone: Broken Road Review (Bishop)
The DLC is a great addition to the game. Horde Assault is an excellent game mode that basically expands on the horde challenges and forces you to loot/kill under pressure constantly in a large section of the normal game map. Graphical updates are welcome but I honestly cant tell when I'm being chased by hundreds of screaming freaks and loving it.
That being said there are some things that nobody seems to talk about in any reviews. It appears to me that most people just bought the DLC and have hardly played it at all. There are multiple bugs that I've come across that can straight up end the run and a few that will kill the motivation to continue the run. Sporadically it seems like after using the gear menu to craft things it will bug out and you can't fire your guns and any throwables will just clip through the floor and will not detonate essentially ending that run. Other bugs aren't as awful, but I've come across a few others, one of which is where a Supply Crate gives you The Growler and when you select it, it will just disappear instead of being in my hands or on the ground to pick up. Another is where if you get to 30m and the ultimate horde appears you can sometimes run into an audio bug that's tinnitus inducing. I believe it occurs when you come near a spawn area for one of the static horde spawns on the map because it will sometimes stop if I keep running and come near another one.
I pity the people who bought the DLC and don't even play it because they are missing out on a fantastic game mode. Ya know what would also help the sequel happen is if you actually play the game instead of buying the DLC and letting the game collect dust. I hope that Bend Studios will at the very least do some bug fixes if they don't wanna give us a sequel.
