Daydream: Forgotten Sorrow Review (tasselfoot)
Daydream is very, very heavily inspired by Little Nightmares... which is a good thing, since LN is great. And, overall, the game is pretty good. Quality visuals and creative puzzles in a curious world.
However, it's rough around the edges with how you have to micromanage the bear (which can result in getting softlocked), how you die to every fall/jump, and other small frustrations and inconsistencies with platforming, movement, and interacting with objects. I also found the soundtrack to be fairly basic, with loops that are too short/repetitive. And for the love of god, turn down/off the controller vibration... it is a privilege not a right!
Worth getting, but maybe wait for a patch or two to address the bugs and polish the gameplay a bit more.
