Daydream: Forgotten Sorrow Review (Silurean)
I posted a negative review as I feel this game needs a round of polish. A good Quality of Life update is desperately needed. The platform jumping is just off in places. The mechanic to point the NPC needs to be better. The flying and running scenes are incredibly frustrating. The controls for the sprinting and interacting should be swapped. Sprint should be assigned to your right trigger and interact should be the "X" button (at least on the XBOX controller). It would make for better sprint jumps which are required in a number of areas. To thumb flop between the face buttons to perform this action makes it much harder to pull off.
A few more rounds of play testing and then an QOL update would really improve this game tremendously. It is a good game. It is a fun game. It has good graphics and music. It just needs some tightening up in the control department. It does have that Little NIghtmares and Limbo feel but just not at the quality level of those games which is too bad. I do hope the developer rolls out a solid quality update. If they do, then I would recommend the game but in the current state I can't.
