Daydream: Forgotten Sorrow Review (dutty ♡)
I'm really trying to like this game but it's such a buggy mess. I'm sure the story gets better soon, but at the moment, it all has no purpose. The movement is terrible - if you thought Little Nightmares movement was bad, oh boy. It's also super confusing sometimes what is expected of me when I arrive in an area. Most of my IGT is from dying repeatedly to dumb stuff because I didn't know I was supposed to do one small thing as it was never made clear. Maybe I'm just stupid.
Anyway, I made this review after just completing the plane section and oh boy oh boy, was that torturous to get through.
I'm sad because I was looking forward to this game a lot. Hopefully it gets better soon, but for now, I just really cannot recommend it in it's current state. If you go into this game expecting the janky ass movement to be like Little Nightmares but on crack, then maybe you'll be able to look past that.
-- EDIT AFTER COMPLETING.
Okay, I guess the game is okay for the length of it. I didn't really enjoy the game that much, but the story was okay and the achievements were fun. Ultimately, gameplay wise, I still don't think it's fantastic. The platforming is sooo bad, and the puzzles are still pretty confusing to figure out. Sometimes it's just a guessing game, it feels like.
Anyway, again - if the game was longer, I would not recommend. But you may as well give it a go for it's length. The story is some pretty generic sad stuff but it's fine I guess.
