Only buy this if you want to make your game marginally and objectively worse, with enemies from the crimson court replacing normal enemies in encounters outside of the court with their numbers growing more numerous and frequent the longer you leave the court alone.
They will only stop once you beat the Baron and then subsequent bosses, which is the problem because to even get to the baron you have to go through an absolutely enormous dungeon that has no right be be as big as it is with dead ends, locked doors that you have to backtrack from unless you were somehow lucky enough to even find the correct key for, the only saving grace of the dungeon is that you can leave at any time (but you still get the stress from quitting a dungeon but you keep your progress), 2 of the most common enemies can give your characters the crimson curse which as far as I know is only cured if you beat the baron or the other bosses with that character.
Characters can get infected outside of the court because the enemies that give you the curse are 2 of the 3 enemies you find outside of the court which are incredibly annoying and make different dungeons feel repetitive, because I've been so lucky as to only find the crimson court enemies in place of the enemies I should be finding on occasion.
The DLC adds a few really good items that are amazing by themselves, but the fact they're locked to the DLC make them not worth trying to get because the DLC has to be active for you to even get them so it's not worth it.
The bosses that I've fought so far are the Crocodilian and the Baron, whom are both atrocious and can suck my hairy fucking balls. The Crocodilian spawns with 3 reeds that have 209 dodge and 80% Prot with 100+ health each (which just means that you aren't mean to hit them as far as I understand it), but the problem is that even with The Holy Rollers party I struggled with them all being lvl 6 (The court has a recommended lvl of 3 btw which is absolutely wrong because I've had 2 lvl 3 parties die there due to the Crocodilian's rake and lurking fear moves). He is able to target everybody in the party and seems to do an average dmg of 15 to several people per attack, and give them all heart attacks. My leper was getting gimped because the dmg that he did was healed after every hit and the crusader is nothing more that a dummy to attract hits with all of his 60+ health and 53% Prot i gave him. Every turn he'd crit somebody, after he got hit he'd retreat away and gain 40 dodge and speed as well as heal more than 40 out of his 130ish health every turn.
The Baron is far worse, he rinses all of your characters health every turn by whipping from any space and doing 13+ dmg every hit up to 3 times a turn while giving them about 15 stress per hit. Even if he uses his "Crowd Pleaser" move which is about 5 dmg it gives your party upwards of 20 stress each. I haven't even mentioned that there is no healing allowed in that fight from any source, he also bleeds, debuffs with less dmg and acc with most hits, bleeds and blights so that every turn that you're on deaths door you have 2 more chances to die just on your turn and if you're lucky enough to not die you still have 3 more attacks plus the other enemies on the field who guard him and heal themselves which also pounding you into the floor. The Baron gets to heal himself too, so god forbid id you manage to hurt him at all because every turn you manage to actually hit him he'll just heal for 20+ health from an attack that does more that 15 dmg every time he does it.
So in conclusion I have barely played through the actual court itself because I have simply been unable to beat it with any party composition I attempted it with and only getting up to the Baron (BTW the corocodilian isn't a boss, he's a random encounter).
Don't buy this unless you want to support the devs and have it turned off forever or play it if you truly hate yourself.
