Darkest Dungeon II: Inhuman Bondage Review (Demora)
I have read all the reviews, and so far, majority of negative comment is about "New region dealing too much damage," "new region doesn't favor lack of movement team," "Abomination deals too much stress," and so on. What do you guys want, huh? I know some people download strategy games to feel smart while they are incapable of making any good strategy to begin with. If you are one of those people, then just wait for Mods to make the game easy for you so you can feel good about yourself and blame the game for everything else.
New Region: The new region requires you to move around to remove region-exclusive tokens, so some players think you can't deal with that without having a shuffle team. The game has considered this, and enemies inflict shuffle in that region so you can naturally lose your negative token without spending your turn moving manually. Just read which enemy can do that, plus the loot of that region drops items that allow you to move without using your turn. Just read the enemies' skills and strategies. How incapable are you? If your team can't handle shuffle from enemies, then it's time to change your garbage team because shuffle isn't exclusive to the new region either.
Abomination Stress Damage: It is quite balanced compared to DD1 Abomination. In DD1, stress heal was done by delaying the rounds as you healed for like 8-16 stress per turn. In DD2, however, stress heal is much more potent once you reach the threshold. Jester can heal 3 stress (30 stress compared to DD1), MAA 4 stress (40), Hellion 5, and so on. You can generate crit tokens, base crit chance of skills are higher than DD1, and positive relationship blessed skills can heal 1 stress per turn, and so on. If you are finding Abomination stress an issue, then get good.
New Region Deals Too Much Damage? Which region doesn't? Make Way skill can crit for max HP of Alchemist while being a cleave skill. Finishing Blade can one-shot your tank if they don't have a shield token, and so on. Read enemies' skills or stop playing a strategy game if all you know is "press button did damage, me happy."
That's why Dark Souls fandom is better. Even if someone isn't that skilled, they are smart enough to realize the fault lies in them instead of blaming the game every time they die.
Improve or read the first disclaimer page that pops up when you enter the game. But I guess reading and strategy isn't a cup of tea for some players. DD1 fans who spammed stuns and blights and don't know how to improve beyond that will always be funny.
Also content wise this DLC adds more content than Binding blade but obviously have less content than free update, so you can enjoy free content first before adding new DLC but i prefer having everything unlocked.
