Dark Souls Review (Viseria)
Dark Souls is easily one of the best ARPGs ever created in the last 20 years. A beautiful, varied and interconnected world, good sense of risk and reward, well-designed levels and boss fights. It feels very long and you will probably want to take a break for a while, but at the same time you'll want more and you'll just want to go ahead and try to kill the bad guy that made you rage over and over again. The Remastered version is great unlike what some whiny people say, new players will find all of the mood, challenge, and tension of the original game. While playing through this masterpiece, you will know how being lost and lonely feels like, some people might not realize it, but it's a very depressing and dark world in which themes of death, rebirth, and hope are present on almost every level. I've always seen the theme of nihilism being the main thing in the Dark Souls series. Nothing really matters, whatever you do or don't do, nothing matters, there's no moral high ground, and in time, the exact same problem will face someone else long after your character has gone to dust and ash, the world goes dark over and over and it's all an exercise in futility. Dark Souls is a work of art with a beautiful soundtrack and an amazing lore. It's hard as hell but definitely a rewarding experience. I envy those who get to experience this game for the first time and feel bad for those who never played a Dark Souls game before. This is one of those games I've played more than once and I'm not ashamed of saying it. 10/10 recommended.
