Crusader Kings III: Legacy of Persia Review (Watames Boules)
Did you enjoy the Iberian Struggle but thought it went on for too long? Well this flavor pack is for you! The Intermezzo is an incredibly fast paced struggle that has a ticking clock to a forced ending where nobody gets what they want, and it's great fun to choose a side and try to claim the Iranian Plateau as your own.
Outside of the main struggle a ton of general flavor has been put into the region, ranging from new religions, updated tenants to various Muslim and Zoroastrian faiths, and the looming threat of Turkic invasion sponsored by your rivals. The Abbasid Caliphate, much like the Ummayads when the Struggle for Iberia released, are no longer a beacon of stability, and struggle much more, making the Middle East a much more dynamic region without the threat of a massive superpower completely dominating.
Overall the Flavor Pack is incredibly impactful in the region it's meant to impact, and I've enjoyed everything I've done with it so far. Here's hoping for a proper Byzantine pack sometime in the future, to further shake up the region and stop yet another regional powerhouse from completely dominating all game long
