It's a relatively small content pack that adds random role playing events during various stages of your character's life (such as childhood). It also adds a system where events can trigger a blood feud between houses, which are rivalries that carry between house heads through generations and are resolved either by forgiveness or by committing sleights on the other house's members. The events added integrate with the new mechanics that were released in the free patch alongside this pack. This is the type of content people have been asking for for a long time (more events instead of flavor packs) and it's cheaper than most DLC, so it was an obvious buy for me. Expect this to get a lot of negative reviews since that is par of the course for Paradox DLC, and don't get me wrong, they shouldn't be charging for this type of content after release, but the actual content being added is a strong improvement to one of the more neglected parts of the game.
