Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII - Reunion Review (Retromastery)

It's basically just a much, MUCH better version of Crisis Core, which was needed because... well, the OG game did not age well to say the least
+ The combat now actually feels snappy and responsive instead of being a latency-filled slog
+ The DMW now actually ENHANCES the combat experience instead of just... getting in the
way, it creates some pretty neat clutch moments when you least expect it.
+ Limit Breaks no longer triggers automatically and now lets you choose when to use them
+ DMW cutscenes can now be skipped, thank god for that.
+ The visuals are actually night and day different now, thanks to the game now running on Unreal Engine 4
+ The UI is much more intuitive now, you don't have to fight against it anymore
+ Loading screens no longer take FOREVER to go through, they last less than a second when running the game on an SSD
+ Every single NPC in the game are now voice-acted.
The only two things that stayed mostly the same are the voice acting and the CGI cutscenes, while the game now features a brand new cast of VA, the delivery is pretty much the exact same compared to the OG game, which can throw off a lot of people especially if you played FFVII Remake beforehand.
And just for clarity's sake, while the game is VASTLY improved compared to its original iteration, it still remains a PSP era game and it still is Crisis Core, the Bones are pretty much the same, so don't expect it to be exactly like FFVII remake, because it's not.
Overall, a very welcome addition to the Remake collection, Square very clearly wants us to know about Zack's story before we get our hands on Rebirth, and considering what we saw at the end of Remake... we're probably gonna need this knowledge
