Creed: Rise to Glory Review (KellyM7)

This game is a lot of fun, especially if you're a fan of the Rocky/Creed films. There's a decent amount of content here, but for what it is it's hard to recommend for $30.
I personally like the exhaustion limitations but I understand i'm mostly alone in that. This game looks good and runs okay, but the graphic settings and menu in general are extremely weird and feel a little outdated. Like only snap-turn? Why? The movement system is also very hard to get your head around at first, especially when you're actually *in* a fight. I like that they tried to be inventive and fit the game but it just doesn't feel good.
My absolute biggest of my two problems is that this game just entirely does **not** work with Virtual Desktop. I have no clue why but it's a known issue. The game will run well but your hands will be sluggish and wimpy, making the game unplayable. Which is a HUGE bummer because ideally i'd want to play active games wireless on my Quest 2, but this makes me have to use AirLink or Link. And AirLink just isn't it.
What initially makes me happy is that all of these problems were fixed with an update/DLC. Championship Edition seems to have fixed a lot of my problems here, fixed movement, a more intuitive menu system, and cross platform! But the problem is that *this* version is NOT it. The Championship Edition was only released on Quest 2 and PSVR 2 and as far as I know isn't coming to Steam in the first place.
So the version we have *here* is outdated, buggy, and empty. Which is really such a bummer cause I do like this game! A lot actually, and I wish I could recommend it here. Fighting Rocky/Creed characters is a ton of fun and a great workout! The training modes are fun and genuinely useful, you can learn stuff about actual boxing here. The visuals are generally pleasing and the music is wonderful. But even with all the things I like, the pro's outweigh the cons for this version. So I can't recommend it.
If you have a Quest 2 or PSVR 2, get it there and you'll be better off.
