College Kings 2: Episode 1 Review (panCDCA)
Except for the characters and of course the college setting, it's like a whole different game, which I don't understand but not a big deal since you can change it.
For ME personally, the major differences are:
The characters are inconsistent and the timelines are all over the place.
The first seems like a lot of love and effort were put into it. Like maybe it was autobiographical (somewhat) and thus a passion project, because I could feel that care and effort and thought were put into it.
this chapter you can not go back frames like in the first game, where, you can answer both ways and see what happens then go back and try the other because they both lead to the same after conversation. This is different in that you can't go back and "rechoose" unless you save and go back by quick loading, time consuming and not worth it in most decisions as they are pretty simple.
THE BIGGEST CON THAT REALLY NEEDS FIXED:
The phone will sometimes send you into a loop. When this bug happens since unlike the first where I could go back and then just try again (usually took a couple tries), this game you pretty much have to try a quick save and reboot the game.
I have a HUGE issue with why it took so long to even mention Mrs. Rose concerning Nora. The interrogation with Chris didn't need to be so assholish.
Why you changed how we play the MC is a mystery, he comes off very petty and more like Imre and Ryan than the guy in the 1st one and the choices we had.
The detective game feels like you totally turned the MC from a likable guy to a complete nutcase.
All the characters lack any cohesion or consistency in who they are, In the first they were pretty much the same also the timeline is messed up.
Nora was last seen on Tues. the VIP was Sat. with the wedding on Sun. the weekend before that was the reopening of the shelter.
So, the way the detective game is surmised it's been 2 weeks since Nora was seen.
Still miss the ability to go back and then redo the choice, that added a lot to the game as well.
the first seemed like you were having fun and this so far is almost a pain and actually, boring.
I recommended the original, this one needs some of the original's dedication and passion.
