Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 Review (SgtDragoon)
Alright alright. First impressions!
Facial animation a bit oddish at times. Voice acting is decent. Dialogue over all good (it doesnt feel out of place and that alone is a breath of fresh air...)
Landscape/ Scenery is quite nice. Combat is enjoyable. Can foresee good combos and the likes. Only thing i don't understand yet is the grade system from weapons to states relation. I might of missed it, but i dont think it was explained.
Performance is over all well. I few collision i saw, but nothing horrendous.
Soundtrack is really good.
At the beginning (prologue) it would've been nice to hearing random dialogue bits from the crowd (You hear a little but i couldnt tell from whom) or not see a kid silently crying (it odd looking). It makes the area feel slightly soulless and breaks immersion just a touch. Outside of that it was nice. Honestly for a small team doing their first game it easily forgivable.
Also it would have been nice to be given a bit more history on whats happening. I might of missed something who knows.
But hopefully as i keep exploring the main island more of the lore will open up.
