Cities: Skylines - Snowfall Review (Lucabaduka)

Of all of the "core" DLC for Cities Skylines, this is easily the one that should be most skipped.
Snowfall came out about six months after an expansion called "After Dark", which added a day-night cycle. Some people, such as myself, took this subsequent expansion to imply that it added seasons, or at least a winter season and in that season you would have associated winter challenges like maintaining roads from snow. This is not the case. In fact, the winter effects from this expansion do not appear at all, except in specific maps where it is *always* winter. The rest of the maps remain in eternal summer.
Therefore the only addition that the rest of the maps receive is the ability to build trams. Trams are like trains but they're imperilled by traffic, are slower, and have a much smaller passenger capacity. In this, they are like busses but worse and require specific roads to travel on. If this appeals to you and you wish to spend $18 CAD on such a concept: By all means, have at it.
For my part, however, this purchase was a mistake.
