Cities: Skylines - Snowfall Review (GamingBren)
My thoughts on this DLC
This DLC is okay, but I only got it for the trams. It does have some other things, such as heating, which goes hand in hand with the temperature mechanic it introduces. There are also new policies, including ones regulating how heating is done, as well as installing extra insulation in houses. It would’ve worked better if they added seasons, as it just isn’t that realistic having snow on certain maps only.
Since I initially drafted this review, in an update released on 11-15-22, some new trams and tram roads have been added (some require After Dark as well due to bike lanes), not to mention tram pedestrian streets that also require Plazas and Promenades, so I'll go ahead and give this DLC an extra half-point in its rating. Also, apparently the game can't support seasons, so that's why snow is restricted to certain maps.
Conclusion
Rating: 5.5/10
Solid: Somewhat
Recommended: Yes, but mainly for the trams
