Cities: Skylines II - Creator Pack: Modern Architecture Review (Sky RR)
Of the 2 (3? We forgetting that they tried shoving Beach Fronts on us yet? Or San Francisco..so 4? I can't count)
Regardless. OF alllllllllll the DLC to come out for this game. Modern Architecture probably is the only one to actually deliver what it promises. Kinda. Sorta. Kinda.
It DOES at least contain modern architecture. Sorta.
service building and a few parks. can look ultra modern. They don't really stand out though because Cities 2 has really tried emphasizing giant, open cities with excessive amounts of walking paths and shrubbery, things that would be considered ....space wasting in most real cities. Even ones that care about things like public health.
That really isn't here nor there. This does at least add something.
On the whole, these buildings are much better than their vanilla counterparts. Smaller footprints (except the underground subway station, ya know because they just needed to add a grassy patch extension behind a stair case. I'm dead serious) with less chaff means you can squeeze them in better, and they're of roughly similar capacity when you go full hog on upgrading.
This is kinda sad because it's the kinda stuff you'd expect to find on the Steam Workshop, had paradox not taken it outback and shot it. Paradox mods has even more efficient buildings on it, but, not a lot since people don't use paradox mods.
And maybe that was the point all along, make modding really crappy, so you have to shell out for better buildings.
To note as well, this doesn't let you make themed modern districts, or really bring anything to the table apart from some better basic services across the board. There's a list on the page here somewhere so give that a go. but really if you're still playing this game actually......you are already a CO stan, and any attention at all from Papa Paradox is gonna tingle your jimmies.
If you're someone with a brain, and looking in to see if this or cities2 as a whole is worth it. Nah mate, nah,
