Cities: Skylines - Content Creator Pack: Mid-Century Modern Review (The Great Linguini)
Buying this pack is a great way to give thanks to a creator in this game's community.
Additionally, buying this pack gets you some neat assets. In the case of this pack, you're getting a ton of distinctly styled growables in their own district theme, a great set of parking assets, and a fine variety of tourist attractions.
I have actually utilized this pack constantly since acquiring it. Not for the growables, mind you. They are really good and we'll get back to them in a second, but the real stars for me are the carports. This is covered parking that you can slot into a number of locations. It's a fantastic way to add a touch of realism into your builds, and they make for a great space filler. The photo above that shows all the assets is a wee bit misleading as it includes the extra tile of pavement ahead of the asset. The smallest of these is actually a 1x1.
Back to the growables... These all capture the intended vibe perfectly. Now, that vibe doesn't fit with all climates. I wouldn't use these on a snowfall map, for one thing; but, regardless, they add a nice bit of variety into the pool of low density residential. Also, rest assured, these will only spawn in if you have a district set for them to do so.
The rest of the pack is made up of "park" assets. These are not unique buildings, so you can place them down as much as you'd like. (Same goes for the parking). The hotels are pretty neat. They don't operate like the hotels from the DLC, of course, but they look like they do. The restaurants are really cool. I particularly like the roadside diner. That just looks like so many places I'm familiar with. It's very true to life.
Finally, my favorite thing about this pack is the randomization. The signs on the restaurants change logos, and the colors on the parking, etc, are variable. You can get more out of the same asset because of this. You can have multiple instances of the roadside restaurant without them looking just one franchise all because of this neat little feature; and, on top of that, all of the designs/logos are really fitting and cool.
Yes, I very much recommend this pack. You can pick it up on sale and/or as part of a bundle if you are so inclined.
