Cassette Beasts: Pier of the Unknown Review (Polyglottus)

Cassette Beasts is an incredible game that makes many of my dreams come true. If you want to give the devs love for their effort in creating a Monster Taming game that stands shoulder-to-shoulder with the best, then by all means pitch in for this bit of content. It adds in a small batch of charming new Beasts and Stickers that round out the cast quite nicely!
Objectively, I can't really recommend it at the price point. The weird thing is, if it was just $2 cheaper I'd be all thumbs-up on the material? Either way, I do hope this isn't the only DLC released. I just want there to be more consideration towards what post-launch paid content comprises for overall player experience.
As it stands you are getting *very* little for what you pay for. This is NOT post-game content and your experience will be much worse for buying this DLC after you've beaten the campaign as you rapidly burn through what little it has to offer. The experience strikes me as much more meaningful as you return a few times throughout the story as you unlock the different powers needed to reach the secret final boss. Irritatingly, all of the new Beasts it adds are not sorted into the Bestiary; just tacked on the end of the list alphabetically. Why weren't these given proper designations when the monsters patched in at v1.2 did?
If/When the game adds Multiplayer, this chunk of content is also going to stand out as being weirdly gated.
