Capcom Arcade Stadium: Street Fighter II - The World Warrior Review (Hudson633)
A true classic.
The launcher is over 1GB, which is frustrating when you're just trying to jump into a 4MB nostalgia arcade game. It doesn't explain the keyboard controls well, and the options menu responds to LShift instead of ESC half the time.
But Street Fighter II is still worth it, and remains fun even after three decades of competition, if only because the artistic discipline of those early days has apparently been lost. See what I mean when I compare the awkward 1GB program they made you download just to host a 4MB masterpiece?
I'd since forgotten how to play it, but the immersion of the backgrounds and sounds came back, along with the accomplishment of improving your skills and winning a fight.
The hardware limitations of the era was a pressure that produced gems, and this is one of the finest.
