Call of Duty: Warzone Review (Lorix)

I really can't understand why so many people are still hooked on this when there are so many amazing games out there. What makes this fun Anyway?
Call of Duty used to be about skill and serious competition, but now it’s just about crossovers, getting as many as possible before the next game comes along, wiping everything clean.
You'll buy Squid Game cosmetics for $50, then do the same when the next season drops, all while consuming more and more content that’s just meant to make money off you. Remember consume consume consume
The game also suffers with SBMM (Skil based matchmaking) which should be good but the execution is terrible often punishing you for doing well by pitting you against the swetiest of sweats you have one good game now time for you to fight a max lvl prestige with all maxed camos
The game is also still flooded with cheaters, and it's so bad that you can find people showing off their cheat menus on TikTok live. Despite all this, nothing gets done. It's like trying to cut off a hydra's head, ban one cheater, and another appears. They could fix this issue, but they won't, and we all know it.
On top of that, this billion-dollar company is now using free AI in their games, and you, the consumer, have to pay for it. Activision doesn't care about what you want, they care about your money.
I don't understand how people are still sinking money into this franchise, which has been dying for years. Boycotting Call of Duty is honestly the best thing you can do.
There are so many better games out there, and you'll save so much money choosing to buy a deep narrative game instead of giving money to a company that's just selling you skins to make even more profit.
Here's a small list of games that actually respect you and are really fun to play and far better than throwing away money.
Metaphor RE (JRPG)
Elden Ring (open world RPG)
Yakuza Series (RPG)
Life is Strange (heavy narrative)
Hades 1 and 2 (Roguelite)
Baldurs Gate 3 (RPG)
Disco Elysium (Narrative based RPG)
Balatro (card game with wacky twists)
Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 (Realistic medieval game)
Echo point nova (FPS with a hoverboard and open world solo and co-op)
Repo (funny co-op horror game)
Dusk (Boomer shooter horror game)
Ultrakill (Fast paced shooter)
Severed Steel (FPS-everything is destructible and you can do all sorts of insane tricks)
Anger foot (FPS Hotline Miami)
Selaco(a modern boomer shooter pushing an old engine to its absolute limits and made with the help of industry veterans ensuring each mission is incredible)

Sure not all of them are shooters but trying new genres is never a bad thing
And the kicker? every game I listed is cheaper than buying 2 Collab bundles for a studio that's proven it does not care about it's fans.
