Buddy Simulator 1984 Review (nobody_at_all)
Loved every hour of it. Absolutely, wholeheartedly recommended game, though it may be a bit disturbing at times, so beware (see its Steam page disclaimer, for example reference).
At times, Buddy Sim can show a spooky or creepy side; other times, it's just very heart-warming. Themes of friendship and (non-romantic) love, and the loss of such. Nothing too "deep" necessarily, maybe a truism here and there, but it never felt vapid or empty. Beautiful presentation. Simply relatable and heartfelt.
Very comfy 8-bit/16-bit aesthetic, even as it changes 'perspectives' or dimensions (you'll see *wink wink*). Also top tier chiptunes soundtrack.
100% completion of achievements is not really difficult, but there is always the possibility of messing up some of the requirements for some of the endings and thus having to start over (as it happened to me xD ). Possible to complete in ~15hrs (maybe less). At the time of writing this review, I'm still looking to find all glitches/documents (which is not requiered for 100% completion), so I have that to look forward to.
Very special thanks to my dear friend Dust for making my interest in this game peak, and also for sharing it with me and advising me in my playthroughs toward 100% completion :D
