Botany Manor Review (vexis58)
A rather short playthrough (I finished the game and all its achievements in less than 3 hours) but it's a rather nice afternoon of peaceful gaming time. Reminds me of Strange Horticulture, but with fewer plants and no horror elements at all.
The puzzles are rather easy, made even simpler by the fact that there aren't any wrong clues or red herrings anywhere -- every clue is there for a reason, and you just have to figure out what plant it goes with. Each plant has quite a different story/theme about it, so it isn't all that hard to match them up. But I did enjoy the time I spent exploring the manor finding the clues, reading the letters, and putting everything together to collect some cool plants.
If I had one wish, I'd want to be able to look at the clues I've collected from the UI without having to walk all the way back to where they were in the world to look at them again. The book had a record of what clues I'd collected, but this was purely the name of the clue and where I found it, without actually having any of the information. It would be nice to have a folder to pick up all the letters and snippets I find scattered around so I can look at them all again in one place.
