Born of Bread Review (Smoresies)

So far I've been playing for 8 hours on release day (Thank god my college break began same day as this release) and I have to say the game is astounding.
All the characters are full of personality, there are sidequests and worldbuilding aplenty (which you'd expect from this sort of game honestly, but it's still a plus to see it done so well), the amount of gamebreaking bugs I've ran into are 0, the amount of annoying bugs I've ran into are 1 (which doesn't effect gameplay in any majorly annoying way and it's already on their radar to fix), and the amount of nitpicks I have are incredibly minimal which is greatly surprising to me given the amount of depth in this game already.
If you like Paper Mario or Bug Fables you will love this game. I think it improves on the combat a bit more than Bug Fables did, especially where it adds in it's unique "backpack" mechanic and skill tree (which is INCREDIBLY simple and easy to understand). Even if you don't like those sorts of games or haven't given them a try, it's incredibly straightforward and easy to pick up. I'd highly recommend it.
I bought on release day with the 10% First-Week discount but honestly, at only $25 for the game I would have bought this without the sale anyways.
I do plan on updating this when I beat the game, with any expectations for endgame and difficulty throughout.
