Bluey: The Videogame Review (captain ravioli)
SPOILERS!!! First off, I'm not the target audience for this game. I'm a single adult in my 20s, so my perspective is different than those who this game is for (families with young kids who like Bluey). As it sits right now, I've 100% this game with all the collectibles, stickers, and Steam achievements. This took roughly 3 hours of playtime, so it is fair to say the game doesn't offer a load of content. That being said, I personally feel that this game is a great time waster for any Bluey fan. Is it worth $40? Absolutely not. If the game was around $15-$20 maybe that would be a good buy. But I'd say for the most people, if you can live without it until it goes on sale, do that. I had no issue paying the $40 because I want to fund a show/studio that I think has great potential. If a portion of the game's price goes back to Ludo and Joe Brumm, then I'll pay the money any day. I didn't really like how the game didn't have a proper ending though. Instead of having an ending episode or at least a cutscene for The Beach where The Heeler family meets up with Stripe and Muffin (like the commentary said they were going to do), you're just dumped at The Beach to finish collecting items and you're told you can replay the episodes. In short, I'd recommend this game for any Bluey fan, just not at this pricepoint. The graphics were definitely on the weirder side, but they still did a decent job adapting the Bluey artstyle to have 3D elements. Soundtrack was killer though, love Bluey music. TL:DR The game is a fun time waster to kill a few hours, but not worth the asking price of $40.
